Or is it more a case of just knowing whose opinion to listen to and drowning out the rest?
Don’t get us wrong, there are different “trends” and “information” available for wherever you place yourself on the “fashion spectrum”, for instance people who have newly ventured into the fashion world don’t know what they don’t know, so perhaps that “fashion creator” who amassed 10k+ followers on TikTok in 2 months might be the place to go in order to feel like you’re “learning” along side someone who may be on the same level of experience as you are.
With that being said, we believe opinions and criticism from someone with experience trumps someone with just a large following every-time. Therefore, if you are new into the fashion space it could be wise to get familiar with people who have done what you want to achieve and learn from them, however, we get it - it’s a lot less intimidating and relatable listening to the creator making the videos out of their bedroom than through watching interviews and not really knowing what info is relevant to you.
Is there a middle ground? Something that offers that less-intimidating feel but still provides quality knowledge and even valuable inspiration into building your personal style? Let us know if you’ve found any.
