COS SS25: A Fashion Show in a Greek Quarry? Yeah, Insane.

Let’s be real — fashion shows can start to blur into one another. Same venues, same setups, same front-row photos. But every once in a while, a brand does something so unexpected it actually makes you pause. COS just did that.

For their Spring/Summer 2025 show, COS took us all the way to a quarry in Greece. Not a glossy event space, not a hotel rooftop — a quarry. And it kind of blew our minds. Think: sun-bleached stone, dramatic cliff faces, silence broken only by the wind. The whole thing felt like a scene from a sci-fi film directed by an architect. Models moved through the space like living statues. It wasn’t just a show — it was a vibe shift.

“Our show location created a serene yet dramatic backdrop, enhancing the understated luxury of this season's pieces,”said Karin Gustafsson, COS’s Design Director. “Its captivating atmosphere served as the ideal setting, amplifying the subtle elegance and effortless sophistication that defines our Spring Summer Collection.”

And she wasn’t exaggerating. The show felt like it had been carved directly into the landscape — as if the quarry had been waiting for this moment all along. There were no flashing lights or loud soundtracks, just the soft rhythm of footsteps and fabric catching the breeze. It felt intimate, timeless, cinematic.

The clothes matched the energy — minimal but major. Sculptural cuts, soft draping, see-through layers, and tailoring so sharp it could cut through marble. It all had that signature COS calm — but this time, with a little extra depth and romance. You could tell the team really pushed themselves creatively, leaning into new shapes, subtler proportions, and a kind of quiet drama.

“Central to the collection this season is the connection between structure and softness,” Gustafsson told us. “We delved into sculptural silhouettes and draped elements that echo Renaissance art, with fluidity and transparency explored throughout the design process.”

Translation: this collection was giving timeless, thoughtful, and lowkey sexy — in that “I just threw this on and I’m still the best-dressed person here” kind of way.

There were standout pieces — an off-white coat with an almost architectural curve to the shoulder, sheer shirt dresses layered with precision, and sharply pleated trousers that looked as at home in the quarry as they would in a gallery. It was fashion as sculpture. Wearable, but quietly radical.

But beyond the fits, what hit hardest was the message. COS isn’t chasing trends — they’re building a whole aesthetic universe. One that blends art, fashion, and architecture in a way that feels grounded and future-facing. There’s confidence in their restraint — and clarity in their point of view.

“Fashion has always been a space where art, architecture, and innovation intersect,” said Gustafsson. “And I think the future lies in pushing those boundaries even further. It’s about finding new ways to bring craftsmanship and modernity together to create something new and relevant.”

In a world full of noise, this was something different. Quiet. Confident. Cinematic. COS didn’t just drop a new collection — they dropped an experience.
And honestly? We’re still thinking about it.
